Does using URL shorteners stop the flow of page rank? If I use a URL shortener how does this effect my SEO? These are questions I have asked my self for a while now, especially since the likes of Twitter has made these the best form of links to my sites. Thankfully Google's Matt Cutts has kindly spent the time to answer this question for us:

In this blog when I mention social media I will be referring to Twitter, rather than writing a blog referring to the social media networks as a whole. I am not one to believe in the "one size fits all" approach. Of course there are many more social media outlets on the web and I will cover these in my future blogs.
